Baby Cobra and Skink Rescued from Glue Trap by RESQ Team and Goa Forest Department
Goa, July 18 -- A baby cobra and a skink were rescued from a mouse glue trap by Team RESQ in coordination with the Goa Forest Department after the reptiles became stuck in a trap placed inside an office.
According to the rescue team, both animals were safely freed using coconut oil, which helps dissolve the adhesive without causing further injury. Following the rescue, the baby cobra and the skink were released back into their natural habitat.
The rescuers highlighted the dangers posed by glue traps, noting that such traps have been officially banned in several Indian states due to the suffering they inflict on animals. Despite these restrictions, they said the traps continue to be freely sold in the open market.
