Goa, July 20 -- Goa Revenue Minister Atanasio "Babush" Monserrate was overcome with emotion as he paid his final respects to his wife, former Taleigao MLA and ex-Cabinet Minister Jennifer Monserrate. Standing beside her tricolour-draped casket, the grieving husband broke down while offering his final prayers. Surrounded by sons Rohit and Amit, family members, political leaders and thousands of mourners, the poignant moment reflected the immense personal loss suffered by the Monserrate family as Goa came together to bid farewell to the three-term legislator with full state honours.
