India, Feb. 26 -- An attempted theft was reported at a school in Bicholim after unidentified persons allegedly broke open cupboards inside the premises, causing damage to property.

According to sources, the incident came to light when school authorities noticed signs of forced entry and ransacked cupboards within the building. It remains unclear whether any valuables or documents were stolen.

Personnel from the local police station rushed to the spot upon receiving information and conducted a preliminary inspection of the scene.

Investigation Underway Police have begun an investigation to identify those involved in the attempted break-in. Forensic and technical evidence is expected to be examined as part of the probe.
