At Least 105 Indians Among 291 Foreigners Missing After Nepal Flash Flood
Goa, Aug. 26 -- At least 105 Indian tourists are among 291 foreign nationals reported missing following a massive flash flood in Nepal's Rasuwa region near the Tibet border.
The disaster has claimed at least eight lives and caused extensive damage to settlements and infrastructure in the region, with several hydropower projects also affected.
The sudden flooding has raised concerns over the safety of tourists and residents in the border area, while rescue and search efforts are expected to focus on locating those reported missing.
The presence of more than 100 Indian nationals among the missing has added urgency to efforts to trace tourists who may have been travelling through the affected region.
