Goa, July 13 -- Australia vice-captain Ashleigh Gardner has found herself at the centre of a personal controversy just days after helping her side secure another ICC Women's T20 World Cup title in England. Gardner's estranged wife, Monica Wright, has publicly accused the all-rounder of being unfaithful during their marriage, alleging she had an affair with fellow Australian cricketer Georgia Voll.

According to multiple reports, Gardner and Wright's relationship began in 2020 after the pair met on a dating app. They got engaged in 2024 before marrying in a private ceremony in the Blue Mountains in April 2025.
