Arun Dhumal Set for Another Term as BCCI Clears IPL Governing Council Nominations
Goa, Sept. 11 -- Arun Dhumal is set to be re-elected as chairman of the IPL Governing Council, while Khairul Jamal Majumdar is also set to retain his place as a member after their nominations were approved for the upcoming BCCI elections.
BCCI electoral officer AK Joti approved the nomination applications of Dhumal and Majumdar on Friday, clearing the way for both candidates to be elected unopposed at the BCCI Annual General Meeting scheduled for September 18 at the board's headquarters in Mumbai.
Dhumal represents Himachal Pradesh, while Majumdar represents Mizoram in the BCCI's electoral process. With no other candidates currently listed for the two positions, both are expected to secure another term without a contest.
