Goa, Aug. 31 -- Anjuna Police have registered a case against a resident of Dona Paula for allegedly forging a lease termination document and dishonestly withdrawing and transferring around Rs.3.5 lakh belonging to a firm.

According to a complaint filed by a resident of Assagao, the accused allegedly forged a document on August 3, presenting it as a Termination of Lease Deed dated September 2024, and submitted it before the competent authorities.

Police further alleged that the accused subsequently caused the unauthorised withdrawal and transfer of the firm's funds without the complainant's knowledge or consent.

Further investigation is underway into the alleged forgery and financial transactions.
