Goa, June 29 -- The investigation into the murder of Anand Patil took a significant turn after the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) remanded the fourth accused to seven days of police custody.

The accused was produced before the JMFC following his arrest in connection with the murder of Anand Patil in Porvorim. The court granted police custody to facilitate further investigation into the case.

Investigating officers are expected to question the accused extensively to ascertain his alleged role in the murder, identify any additional suspects, and collect further evidence linked to the crime.
