Goa, Oct. 28 -- Former GPCC president Amit Patkar, along with a delegation of pre-primary teachers, met Education Secretary Prasad Lolayekar to demand the regularisation of pre-primary teachers in Goa. Patkar urged the government to enact a law or promulgate an ordinance to address their long-pending issues.

Setting November 30 as the deadline, he warned that the teachers would stage a sit-in protest at the Secretariat if the government failed to resolve the matter by then. The delegation sought government intervention to provide a resolution to the teachers' demands, which have remained pending.
