Goa, June 15 -- Alleged illegal filling of a pond at Ascona-Diuler Wado in Benaulim, near Tashi Restaurant, has raised serious environmental concerns among local residents and activists, prompting a site inspection by the authorities.

The matter was reportedly brought to the attention of the Flying Squad, which conducted an inspection of the location on June 15 following complaints regarding the ongoing land-filling activity.
