Goa, June 8 -- An alleged chain snatcher was apprehended at Margao Railway Station on Sunday after reportedly targeting an elderly woman from Maharashtra on the station platform.

According to reports, the woman was preparing to board a train with her family after concluding a visit to Goa when the incident took place. As she bent down to pick up her luggage, the accused allegedly snatched the gold chain she was wearing.

The victim's family immediately alerted nearby passengers, who joined in chasing and detaining the suspect before he could escape. The stolen gold chain was successfully recovered; however, the gold pendant that was attached to it was reportedly missing.
