The Direc torate of Health Services (DHS), Goa, is using Aaro gya Aarohan, an AI-pow ered, mobile-based screen ing tool developed by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) under its TANUH in itiative, on a pilot basis for the early detection of oral cancer and pre-malignant lesions. "The app has currently been deployed across two facilities in Goa: the Panjim Urban Health Centre and the Betki Primary Health Centre, Marcela. The pro gramme spans rural, urban and tertiary institutional levels, including the Goa Dental College, Bambolim," Chief Medical Officer of the Non-Communicable Dis ease (NCD) Cell at the DHS, Goa, Dr Sandesh Madkai kar, told O Heraldo.
