Goa, June 13 -- AAP supporters staged a morcha to Power Minister Sudin Dhavalikar's residence at Bandora-Nageshi, demanding the withdrawal of smart meters and protesting against rising electricity bills amid heavy police deployment.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supporters staged a protest march to the residence of Power Minister Sudin Dhavalikar at Bandora-Nageshi on Saturday, demanding that the state government scrap the smart electricity meter project and address the issue of soaring power bills.

The protesters alleged that the implementation of smart meters would place an additional financial burden on consumers and called for the immediate withdrawal of the scheme.
