India, March 24 -- In Panditwada, Ponda, residents were horrified to discover wriggling worms in their tap water, prompting a fierce AAP attack on the BJP. AAP candidate Geetesh Naik and leader Sandesh Teleikar Dessai slammed the government for this public health disaster, stressing that citizens pay for safe supply yet get contamination due to neglect.

With the Ponda assembly bypoll heating up, AAP issued a strict 3-day deadline to the PWD for fixes. Naik highlighted basic civic failures under BJP rule.

Similar incidents, like Mandur's 2024 worm outbreak, expose recurring PWD lapses in Goa.
