Goa, April 28 -- Bollywood fans rejoice! Aamir Khan has officially confirmed that the much-awaited 3 Idiots sequel is in development, putting years of speculation to rest. The iconic 2009 blockbuster, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, will see its beloved characters reunite a decade after engineering college chaos.

Original Stars ReturnAamir Khan, R Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, and Kareena Kapoor Khan reprise their roles, with Hirani back in the director's chair. Aamir shared his excitement in an Amar Ujala interview: "Raju is working on 3 Idiots 2 right now. I've heard the story and it's wonderful - unusual, with the same humour as the first film."
