Goa, Oct. 22 -- A 52-year-old woman, identified as Aachal Maheshwari and originally from Gujarat, was found dead in a decomposed state inside her rented room in Siolim, Goa.

According to preliminary information, police broke open the door to the room after neighbours reported a foul smell emanating from the premises.

The body was subsequently shifted to Goa Medical College (GMC) for a post-mortem examination to ascertain the cause of death.
