Goa, Sept. 21 -- A five-year-old boy sustained severe head injuries after he was allegedly hit by a car while crossing the road near the Deulwada-Casarvarnem bus stop in Pernem.

Following the accident, the child was taken to the Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Casarvarnem for initial treatment. He was later referred to Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC), Bambolim, for further medical care.

Pernem Police have booked Tulshidas Pardhi, 44, in connection with the incident under Sections 281 and 125(b) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Further investigation is underway.
