4-Year-Old Boy Dies After 21-Hour Rescue Operation From 220-Foot Borewell in Haryana's Ambala
Goa, July 1 -- Child was declared brought dead after being pulled from an open borewell; authorities order action against those responsible.
A four-year-old boy who fell into a 220-foot-deep open borewell in Haryana's Ambala district was declared dead after rescuers pulled him out following a marathon 21-hour rescue operation early Wednesday.
The victim, identified as Nirvair Singh, was rescued from the borewell at around 3.40 am after an intensive operation involving the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), the Army and local authorities. He was immediately rushed to the Civil Hospital in Ambala Cantonment, where doctors declared him brought dead.
