Goa, Sept. 4 -- A 35-year-old man died after allegedly sustaining a self-inflicted stab injury at Siolim on Friday morning, police said.

According to the preliminary inquiry, the man had been staying with his fiancee in Siolim since August 2025. Police said the couple had reportedly been involved in an argument over an alleged relationship concerning the deceased.

An argument reportedly broke out between the couple on Friday morning, during which the man allegedly stabbed himself with a knife.

He was subsequently found with serious injuries and later succumbed. Police have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
