Goa, July 22 -- A 108 GVK EMRI ambulance crashed head-on into a roadside tree in Candolim on Tuesday, leaving the driver and an attending nurse injured.

According to reports, both the driver and the nurse sustained head injuries in the accident. They were immediately shifted to Goa Medical College (GMC), Bambolim, where they are undergoing treatment.

The impact of the collision caused extensive damage to the front portion of the ambulance, indicating the severity of the crash.

The exact cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained, and further investigation is underway.
