Goa, July 7 -- Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant has urged people to support local farmers by choosing vegetables grown within the state, highlighting the importance of promoting indigenous produce and sustainable agriculture. Speaking at the Krushi Pe Charcha programme, the Chief Minister encouraged citizens to rethink their food choices and give preference to vegetables that are locally cultivated.

During his address, Sawant remarked, "Why buy potato when you can eat dudhi?" The statement was made to emphasise the availability of nutritious vegetables grown by local farmers and the need to reduce dependence on produce sourced from outside the state.
