Goa, April 19 -- Amid rising tensions in the Strait of Hormuz, Iran has responded to the recent firing incident involving India-flagged vessels by emphasising its strong ties with India and calling for peace. Abdul Majid Hakeem Ilahi, a representative of Iran's Supreme Leader in India, stated that relations between India and Iran remain robust and expressed hope that the situation would be resolved soon. He also underlined that Iran does not seek conflict and reiterated the country's desire for stability in the region.
