Goa, Oct. 26 -- During Vigilance Awareness Week 2026, Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant voiced strong criticism over the conduct of peons in government offices, stating that some act arrogantly toward the public. He attributed this behavior to Heads of Departments (HODs) failing to correct staff misconduct in a timely manner. Stressing that peons often "behave like boss," Dr. Sawant directed all department heads to immediately intervene, address administrative lapses, and enforce proper conduct and respect toward citizens visiting state facilities.
