Goa, Aug. 6 -- Former Tehelka magazine founder and editor-in-chief Tarun Tejpal has been sentenced to 10 years in prison following his conviction for sexually assaulting a junior colleague. The assault took place inside an elevator at a five-star hotel in Goa during the publication's 'ThinkFest' event in November 2013. The sentencing follows an appeal by the Goa government in the Bombay High Court, which successfully set aside Tejpal's May 2021 trial court acquittal.
