Goa, April 25 -- Former India pacer S Sreesanth has reignited the long-standing IPL 2008 slapgate controversy with fresh allegations against Harbhajan Singh, claiming the former spinner monetised the incident through an advertisement and later asked him to promote it.
Speaking to Mathrubhumi, Sreesanth said Harbhajan Singh earned around Rs 80 lakh to Rs 1 crore from an advertisement based on the controversial on-field incident during the inaugural IPL season. He further claimed that he was later approached and asked to share the promotional content on social media.
