Goa, June 21 -- A social media post by a man whose house help abruptly quit after four years of service has triggered a wider conversation about loyalty, relationships and career choices.

In a post on X, Ankit Pandey recalled how his cook informed him that she would stop coming to work from the following day. According to Pandey, the woman had worked with his family for four years and received a 15 per cent salary hike every year. He said she was earning 15,500 per month and was regularly given festival bonuses, gifts and cash during occasions such as Diwali, Holi and Rakshabandhan.
