Brief Summary: Cardiac surgery is at high risk of intraoperative bleeding. Inhibitors of the P2Y12 platelet receptor, such as ticagrelor, are recommended in patients with acute coronary stroke (ACS) to reduce the incidence of major cardiovascular events.
