Brief Summary: Since the start of the COVID-19, Italy, and particularly the Northern region, Lombardia, has initially been the centre of the most numerous reports of confirmed cases of COVID-19 since the spread of the infection to Europe, reaching 5469 cases out of 9172 total cases in Italy (corresponding to 0.054% of the region population) within 2 weeks from the identification of the first Italian case at the end of February 2020.
