Brief Summary: This prospective observational cohort study evaluated the association between preoperative anaemia and early postoperative morbidity in adults undergoing major gastrointestinal surgery at the University Hospital of Ioannina, Greece. Consecutive patients undergoing elective or urgent open or laparoscopic gastrointestinal surgery were enrolled.
