Brief Summary: Cardiopulmonary bypass-associated pulmonary injury is a common complication after infant cardiac surgery and may contribute to impaired oxygenation, prolonged mechanical ventilation, and longer intensive care stay. Lidocaine has anti-inflammatory and membrane-stabilizing properties and may attenuate perioperative lung injury.
