Brief Summary: Temporomandibular disorders (TMDs) are multifactorial clinical conditions affecting the masticatory muscles, the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), and the surrounding structures. The most common subtype is disc displacement, which is characterized by an abnormal position of the articular disc.
