U.S., Oct. 15 -- ClinicalTrials.gov registry received information related to the study (NCT07872839) titled 'Co-contraction and Corticoreticular Excitability in Spinal Cord Injury' on July 28.
Brief Summary: This study is to elucidate whether hyperexcitability of the cortico-reticulospinal tract leads to abnormal co-contraction and spasticity of elbow flexors in persons with cervical cervical spinal cord injury. By measuring the supplementary motor area (SMA) regulation of the StartReact response, it is possible to quantify whether the cortico-reticular pathway is excessively active or weakened in these persons.
