Historical Mortality Patterns Data spanning over sixty years reveals a significant downward trajectory in mortality across the nation. In 1960, the death rate stood at 21.556 per 1000 persons. While the mid-1960s saw a peak of 22.449 in 1965, subsequent decades marked gradual improvements. By 1984, the rate had successfully fallen to 18.006 per 1000 persons.
