India, June 4 -- Burkina Faso's deaths per capita fell to 7.964 deaths per 1,000 people in 2023, marking the lowest level recorded in the country since data collection began in 1960, according to World Development Indicators data. Steady improvement over six decades The death rate has shown a sustained downward trajectory over the past six decades. In 1960, Burkina Faso recorded 26.933 deaths per 1,000 people, more than three times the 2023 level.
