India, June 4 -- Public health data reveals a significant rebound in Brunei longevity figures following a sudden contraction in the previous two years.
Decades of Steady Progress
Historical records from 1960 show that life expectancy for females was 58.996 years, while males stood at 58.284 years. By 1990, these figures rose to 73.773 for women and 70.031 for men. The female population reached a notable milestone of 76.386 years at the start of the millennium in 2000.
The 2022 Performance Dip
The steady upward climb encountered a significant hurdle recently. Female expectancy fell sharply from 77.032 in 2021 to 74.813 in 2022. Male expectancy experienced a similar decline, dropping to 71.216 years during the same period.
