Mussoorie, 7 May: A major tragedy was averted late Wednesday night here when a young man suddenly fell 100 metres downhill on the Dhanaulti Road. Upon receiving the information, teams from the Mussoorie Police, Fire Service, and the 108 Ambulance service launched a joint rescue operation, safely extracting the injured youth and transporting him to a hospital. According to reports, on Wednesday night, around 12 a.m., an individual alerted the Mussoorie Police that a person had fallen off the road and into the gorge just beyond Woodstock School on Dhanolti Road.
