Haridwar, 18 Aug: Continuous heavy rainfall from the hills to the plains since late last night has led to waterlogging in several parts of Haridwar city and a sharp rise in the Ganga's water level. At Bhimgoda Barrage, the river was reportedly close to crossing the warning mark, flowing at 293.10 metres against the danger level of 294 metres. The officials confirmed that the Ganga has already breached the warning threshold and is inching close to the danger point.
