Dehradun, 24 Jun: The University secured impressive positions in India SDG rankings, placing 5th in India for SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), 7th for SDG 13 (Climate Action), 16th for SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), and 21st for SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), placing it among the country's top-performing institutions in sustainability.

Uttaranchal University has achieved a significant milestone in the Times Higher Education (THE) Sustainability Impact Rankings 2026, improving its overall global position from the 801-1000 band in 2025 to the 601-800 band in 2026, marking a notable 200-band jump in the rankings released on June 24, 2026.
