Haridwar, 13 Mar: The Union Minister of Heavy Industries and Steel, HD Kumaraswamy, inaugurated the newly constructed 5 MW solar power plant at BHEL Haridwar, on 12 March. The Minister dedicated the solar power plant to the nation, in the presence of K Sadashiv Murthy, Chairman and Managing Director of BHEL, and Ranjan Kumar, Executive Director of the Haridwar Unit.

Addressing the gathering, Kumaraswamy stated that the Government of India is continuously striving to promote clean energy and environmental conservation.
