Dehradun, Aug. 12 -- In the light of protests by youths against test paper leaks, the level of desperation is also heightened by a particular phenomenon - unemployability. Reliance on government jobs for a livelihood becomes even greater for this reason. The ability to earn a living on one's own is missing in most youth.
The unemployability factor is widely considered a more critical threat to the Indian economy than actual unemployment, as data indicates that nearly half of India's graduates are deemed unemployable by modern industry standards. According to the government's Economic Survey, only about 51.3% of India's youth possess the skills necessary to be hired straight out of college.
