Dehradun, Aug. 3 -- Tree fall due to rain disrupts Haridwar-Doon rail route

HARIDWAR, 1 Aug: A major disruption occurred on the Haridwar-Dehradun-Rishikesh rail route on Saturday afternoon when a huge tree collapsed on the Railway track near Bhimgoda Kund in Haridwar during heavy rainfall. Along with the tree, boulders from the hillside also rolled onto the Bhimgoda Railway tunnel section, blocking the line and affecting the movement of several trains. The fallen tree also struck a high-tension electricity line, further impacting rail operations.
