Dehradun, Aug. 9 -- India presently holds the official rotational Chairmanship of BRICS for 2026, making Prime Minister Narendra Modi the current Chairman of the group. Under India's presidency, New Delhi is set to host the 18th BRICS Summit on 12-13 September. This marks a significant geopolitical milestone as it is the first time India is leading the expanded 10-member format, which now officially includes Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, the UAE, and Indonesia.
