DEHRADUN, 14 Jun: The Chairperson of the Uttarakhand State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, Dr Geeta Khanna, has taken cognizance of several serious incidents involving children and adolescents reported recently from different districts of Uttarakhand.

Describing as extremely serious the incident in the Vikasnagar area in which a 12-year-old boy was allegedly assaulted and suffered a fractured arm, the recovery of an abducted minor girl in Haridwar, and the alleged lynching of a Dalit youth in Tehri district who had reportedly gone to meet a minor girl due to a romantic relationship, the Commission has sought detailed action-taken reports from the respective Senior Superintendents of Po...
