Dehradun, 18 Jun: The Uttarakhand State Primary Teachers' Association has resolved to intensify its movement demanding restoration of the old pension scheme for teachers appointed also after 2005, along with exemption from the mandatory Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) for the teachers who had been appointed before. In a meeting chaired by Virendra Singh Kohli at the association headquarters, yesterday, representatives from regional branches adopted a series of resolutions aimed at pressing these demands before the state and central governments. To press for the demands, the association has also written a letter to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.
