Roorkee, 19 Jun: The Vigilance Department has arrested a PRD employee, Sandeep Kumar, posted at the Tehsildar's office in Roorkee, for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 4,500 in connection with land mutation work. The arrest followed a complaint lodged on the vigilance toll-free helpline number 1064, where the complainant alleged that Sandeep, who was functioning as a clerk in the Tehsildar's office, had sought money to register the mutation of his sister's land.
