Dehradun, April 21 -- Governor, Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd), visited his ancestral village Jalal Usman in Amritsar (Punjab) on Friday. On this occasion, he received a warm and heartfelt welcome from the villagers. The Governor became emotional upon returning to his village and said that this place is the foundation of inspiration in his life.

He offered prayers at Gurdwara Baba Sri Chand. He mentioned that he has a deep connection with the village, as both his family roots and his birth are linked to this place. He added that the blessings of this land have played a significant role in his achievements.
