MUSSOORIE, 16 Oct: Following Supreme Court directives to halt commercial activities in residential buildings, recent notices issued by the Mussoorie-Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) have caused significant anxiety among tourism operators in Mussoorie-often called the 'Queen of the Hills.' Distressed by the notices, operators of homestays, hotels, guesthouses, and bed-and-breakfast (B&B) establishments gathered outside the authority's office, urging the government to intervene and provide relief. Business owners warn that if they are forced to cease commercial operations under the current circumstances, it could have a severe impact on Mussoorie's tourism industry.
