Dehradun, 15 May: In line with government directives to promote energy conservation and prudent use of resources, Director General of Information (DG Information) Banshidhar Tiwari has instructed that every Saturday will be observed as 'No Vehicle Day' in the Information Department.

He has appealed to departmental officers and employees to adopt alternatives such as public transport and bicycles for commuting to the office on Saturdays. He emphasised that small individual efforts can collectively bring about significant positive change and this initiative will strengthen the national campaign for energy conservation.
