Dehradun, March 20 -- In a bid to tackle the persistent problem of traffic congestion in the city, Dehradun Police have reportedly initiated steps to streamline traffic management by establishing dedicated traffic police stations on the lines of metropolitan cities. It may be noted that the residents in Dehradun have been grappling with frequent traffic jams, largely caused by the increasing number of vehicles and allegedly by indiscriminate roadside parking, making congestion a routine issue across key stretches of the city.
