Ramnagar, 20 Jul: A daily wage worker was seriously injured when a tiger attacked him during patrolling in the Corbett Tiger Reserve. The incident occurred in the Sarpduli range where 32-year-old Pitambar, a resident of Sundarkhal, was on patrol with three other staff members. He was suddenly confronted by the tiger and was mauled, sustaining deep claw wounds on his neck and other parts of the body. His colleagues, showing courage, struggled to free him from the animal's grip and rushed him to the Ramdatt Joshi Government Combined Hospital in Ramnagar. Doctors administered primary treatment and later referred him to a higher centre for specialised care.
